Ever since I heard the song "A Long December," I've made "Get more pearls" my personal saying. I know what the feeling they describe in the song feels like, and I don't like it.

I'm young and I'm smart. I can make the most of my life and do almost anything that I want to do. The opportunity to study abroad is something that I'll never have again, and I'm terribly excited to go to London this fall.
I'll be studying at Queen Mary, University of London where I'll be taking two English classes, one history class, one political science class, and doing an internship. I don't know exactly what I'll be doing for my internship yet, except for that it's something to do with education and reading (perfect for me!), but it'll be three credits. Therefore, I'll have 15 credits when I'm there.
Queen Mary is located in East London. I've come to learn that East London has a large population of people that are from Bangladesh. Honestly, I'm not sure how I'll feel about that once I get there, but it is pretty cool. I'll get to see a different side of London that I'm sure most people don't know about, or talk about.
Tomorrow I'm going downtown to get my VISA. Applying for a VISA was the most complicated and annoying thing ever. And it cost $311! That's a big chunk of my paycheck in itself.
Speaking of money, it's a good thing I'm not really doing anything this summer, because I'm going to need a ton of money when I'm over there.
Anyway, welcome to my journey to London and my adventure to get more pearls:)
Have a fabulous day,
MBF
