Follow me on my journey to London as I study abroad this fall. In "A Long December" Counting Crows describes "the feeling that it's all a lot of oysters, but no pearls." I've had enough oysters and it's now my goal to get more pearls.

I think I'll go to Boston

I'm going to Boston today! My flight leaves at 12:23pm. This always happens, but of course once I started to actually enjoy my summer in Pittsburgh, it's time to leave. As is life...

Anyway, I'm flying straight to Boston, which is surprising because no matter where I go (to school or elsewhere) I always seem to fly through the Philadelphia airport. I've heard that out of all the airports, the Philly airport was the one that you're most likely to meet the person you're going to marry. Supposedly this is because of all the delayed flights, you get stuck with a ton of other people and start talking. In the two years that I've been flying to and from Philly for school, I think I've only not been delayed twice, so I can see how this is true.

I wonder how many time I've run into the same people at the airport, but never noticed. Or am I never there with the same people again? It's interesting to think about that. I'm sure I'm always wrapped up in my ipod or a book or something and have missed the opportunity to meet someone really cool. Oh well.

I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind.

Always,
