Follow me on my journey to London as I study abroad this fall. In "A Long December" Counting Crows describes "the feeling that it's all a lot of oysters, but no pearls." I've had enough oysters and it's now my goal to get more pearls.

[Day 14] Laundry

I haven't done much today so far. I slept in pretty late and then finished my reading for history and lit. I also watched a bunch of episodes of Gossip Girl. It's raining today, it's a good day to relax.

I put together my schedule for the remainder of my time here and tried to figure out when I was going to do my volunteer work. I have so many things planned between now and December 19! This afternoon I also bought tickets to go see Henry IV at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre next Thursday. There are so many things to do here and not enough time.

The main thing that I did today was laundry. That was quite the process, especially since the laundry isn't in my building. The washing machines are so small and I had a lot of clothes, so that was no good. It was really expensive too! Two pounds for the washer and 50 pence for the dryer. So I had to carry my laundry around in the rain and wait for it all day. I noticed that they call laundry detergent, "conditioner" and the dryer, the "tumble dryer."

I had a good dinner, a Marghertia Pizza wrap and chips (fries). That's about it though for today, maybe tomorrow will be exciting.
