Follow me on my journey to London as I study abroad this fall. In "A Long December" Counting Crows describes "the feeling that it's all a lot of oysters, but no pearls." I've had enough oysters and it's now my goal to get more pearls.

Her Eyes

I love the song "Her Eyes" by Pat Monahan.

Her eyes, that's where hope lies.
That's where blue skies
Meet the sunrise.
Her eyes, that's where I go
When I go home.

She doesn't know the word 'impossible'
Don't care where I've been and doesn't care where we're goin' to.
She takes me as I am, and that ain't easy.
She's beautiful. So beautiful.

And sometimes I think she's truly crazy.
And I love it.

Today wasn't the best day; I'm feeling tired and a little lost. I need to write. I'm currently reading a book my sister is supposed to read for English class, In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez, and I love it. I think I read Alvarez in my Spanish class, in Spanish of course, but I like it much better in English.
